prayer.

maelstroming.

finally onto my trip to norway. my uncle atle lives really close to saltstraumen. let me explain what it is. or rather, let wikipedia explain:

saltstraumen, located 30km east of the city of bodø, norway, is the strongest tidal current in the world. up to 400 million square metres (tonnes) of seawater forces its way through a 3km long and 150m wide strait every six hours, with water speeds reaching 20 knots. vortices up to 10m in diameter and 5m in depth are formed when the current is at its strongest: this feature is commonly known as a whirlpool or maelstrom. when the tide turns there is a time window which is the only time the current can be navigated by larger ships.

i tried my hand at another panorama here. its very small when posted which is a bummer.
